ESPN 950 is owned and operated by Red Zebra Broadcasting, which was born in 2006 as a family of radio stations in the mid-Atlantic region. Red Zebra Broadcasting is a new broadcasting venture headed by CEO Rick Carmean that will identify, purchase, and run broadcast properties, including radio, television, and the Internet.
In addition to ESPN 950 (950 AM/WXGI) in Richmond, Virginia, Red Zebra owns the flagship station of The Washington Redskins (980 AM/WTEM, 94.3 FM/WWXT, 92.7 FM/WWXX, 730 AM/WXTR) in it's hometown market of Washington, D.C., and The Game (1490 AM,102.1 FM/WXTG) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. There are a total of 6 Red Zebra radio stations which broadcast every Redskins game, including 9 hours of gameday coverage.
